”Women in academia still face systematic barriers”
The project has been awarded a grant of SEK 1,000,000 from the Jan Wallander and Tom Hedelius Foundation and the Tore Browaldh Foundation.
In her application, Laura Montenbruck writes:
”Women in academia still face systematic barriers that affect career development. To help younger women navigate these challenges, we propose a network for economists in and around Stockholm. The initiative will offer targeted workshops, an annual conference, and informal gatherings to develop skills, promote research exchange, and strengthen peer support. The network is led by younger women with mentorship from more senior researchers and aims to encourage collaboration and create a supportive environment for professional development.”
