Exposure & Effects
Connecting environmental exposure to biological impact.
Our research involves development and application of new methods to detect complex chemical exposures and their biological effects, with studies spanning from molecules and cells to populations and ecosystems.
With advanced infrastructure, laboratory techniques and data science tools, we combine experimental, observational and modelling approaches to integrate new knowledge and discoveries on hazardous chemical exposures and their toxic effects.
To connect science to policy we furthermore conduct outreach and interdisciplinary studies bridging exposure science, (eco)toxicology, risk assessment and law.
