Department of Geological Sciences

Welcome!

The Department of Geological Sciences!

Geology is the study of our planet, Earth. By its very nature, it’s a broad field that brings together a rich mix of sub-disciplines. These constitute interdependent parts of an integrated system that involves the states and variations over geological time of, for example, the solid Earth, animal and plant life, the world’s oceans, and the global climate.
