The New National Security Strategy of the United States: Implications for International Law, Order, and Global Governance
The Stockholm Centre for International Law and Justice and the Department of Law, Jurisprudence, invites you to an advanced seminar in law with Alberto R. Coll on the topic of “The New National Security Strategy of the United States: Implications for International Law, Order, and Global Governance”

Description
In early December, the Trump administration announced its 2025 National Security Strategy of the United States, a radical new blueprint of America’s global policy and strategy and its underlying worldview and philosophy. It represents a notable departure from traditional U.S. understandings of its role in the world over the past seventy-five years, while posing major uncertainties and challenges for America’s allies in Europe and Asia. The presentation will probe those challenges, as well as the new strategy’s implications for international security, the deterrence of hostile authoritarian great powers, and the key institutions of international order and international law.
