Media pluralism and disinformation: impact on constitutional values, in the light of the ECJ’s and ECtHR’s recent case law

The Faculty of Law at Stockholm University is pleased to invite you to a guest lecture by Dr. Enrico Albanesi, Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Genoa and Associate Research Fellow at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (IALS), University of London.

This lecture will explore the constitutional implications of disinformation and its impact on democratic values, with particular reference to recent case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union and the European Court of Human Rights.

Dr. Albanesi’s research focuses on legislative drafting, media law, EU constitutional integration, the Rule of Law, and constitutional amendment processes. He has recently served as an expert for the Institute of European Media Law, the European Commission, and the Council of Europe, and his forthcoming monograph addresses the constitutional impact of disinformation and media pluralism.

Dr. Albanesi will visit Stockholm University within the framework of the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Programme and will deliver two lectures addressing key constitutional challenges in contemporary Europe.
