Career fair
Every spring, the Mathematics-Physics Section arranges a career fair, where students in these subjects get a chance to find out more about career options, and to connect with potential future employers.

Every year the Mathematics-Physics Section invites a number of alumni to speak at our career fair about their work and their experiences. Usually, some of the talks are in Swedish and some are in English. You can see the programmes from previous career fairs further down on this page and on the Swedish version of this page.
The career fair gives you a chance to talk to the alumni lecturers, and to exhibitors from agencies and companies that employ people with an education in mathematics, mathematical statistics, physics or computer science about the job market for you once you have finished your degree in these subjects.
Most of our visitors are students at the Departments of Mathematics, Physics, Astronomy or Meteorology at Stockholm University, but we also welcome students from other universities and prospective students.

Career fair 2026
The career fair 2026 took place on 11 February, in Campus Albano. The entire Mathematics-Physics Section took part in the career fair, so that's the departments of Astronomy, Mathematics, Meteorology, and Physics.
Before the career fair, Naturvetarna held a webinar titled "Cracking the Career Code: Opportunities for Mathematicians, Physicists and Computer Scientists".

The career fair 2023 took place on 8 February, in AlbaNova where the Department of Physics has its premises. For the first time, the entire Mathematics-Physics Section took part in the career fair, so that's the departments of Mathematics, Physics, Astronomy and Meteorology.
