Glenn Kessler – well-known fact-checker at The Washington Post, shares his experiences of decades of debunking political misinformation.

Kessler discusses how algorithms, AI-generated content, manipulation and disinformation call for an increased importance of a journalism that holds politicians accountable for deviance from truth and accuracy, and he gives his take on how this could be done.

Media development in the United States

After the lecture, Glenn Kessler and ChristianChristensen, professor of Journalism, will discuss the contemporary media development in the United States, and its current and possible future, implications for journalism’s democratic function.

There will be opportunities to ask questions.
