Supported by the Bolin Centre for Climate Research, the International Arctic Science Committee (IASC) and the International Meteorological Institute (IMI).
Almost a year ago, the Atmospheric rivers and the onset of Arctic melt (ARTofMELT) sailed on the icebreaker Oden into the Arctic Ocean pack ice to meet the spring and study what processes are involved to drive the Arctic from winter to summer.
During six weeks we collected observations from the ocean, sea ice and snow, and the atmosphere across disciplinary boundaries.
Now it is time for a first organized meeting in Stockholm to discuss the first results and progress in analyzing the observations from the expedition. We will also discuss where to go next, further collaborations, modelling, the database and joint publications.
Dates/times
Monday 22 April at 13.00 through Wednesday 24 April at 12.00.
The first two sessions (at 13–17 Monday 22 April) are open, while the rest of the workshop is reserved for registered participants (contact Michael Tjernström or Paul Zieger).
