Soon two years ago, the Atmospheric rivers and the onset of Arctic melt (ARTofMELT) departed for the Arctic on the icebreaker Oden to meet the spring and to study processes involved forcing the Arctic from winter to summer. During six weeks we collected observations from the ocean, sea ice and snow, and atmosphere across disciplinary boundaries.
Amost exactly a year ago we met for the first time to discuss the first results and the way forward. It is now time to meet again to explore the progress and to discuss where to go next, further collaborations, modelling, the database and joint publications.
