Thanks to the AI model AlphaFold2, researchers can now predict the structures of almost all known proteins. The model was presented by John Jumper and Demis Hassabis in 2020 and has since been used by more than two million people in wide-spanning scientific areas.

John Jumper, one of the Nobel laureates for this discovery, will visit Stockholm University on the 11th of December, and we invite all who are interested to listen to his talk in Vivi Täckholmsalen at 14:00.

The talk will be followed by a Q&A session, which is only intended for PhD students and Postdocs.

The event is arranged by the PhD Board at the Department of Molecular Biosciences.
