Doctoral studies
After receiving your degree at master's level, you may apply to the Doctoral Program in Psychology. The program normally consists of four years of full-time studies which results in a Doctoral degree in Psychology. Application
Applications for doctoral studies in psychology open each spring, with a deadline on 1 April, and sometimes also in autumn, with a deadline on 1 November. Positions are announced at least one month in advance.

To apply for a position as a doctoral student at the Department of Psychology, you first need to register an account in the recruitment system. Below is a description of the parts that your application must contain.

Doctoral courses
In the Doctoral programme courses corresponding to 60 credits are included (since 2025). Of these 15 credits should be courses in methodology and 15 credits should be subject courses in psychology.
