Open Seminar with Wakana Yamazaki on Parental Leave Policies and Paternal Involvement in Japan
Wednesday April 22, Wakana Yamazaki, medical student affiliated with the Institute of Science in Tokyo, will give a seminar in the Department of Public Health Sciences at Stockholm University's seminar series PHS Talks. The seminar will explore research ideas and findings concerning child rearing, child health and life course research in the context of Japan.
Seminar title: Parental Leave Policies and Paternal Involvement in Japan
Wakana Yamazaki is a medical student affiliated with the Institute of Science in Tokyo, Japan. Yamazaki is a part of Professor Takeo Fujiwara’s research group who work in public health and conduct research in social epidemiology, life course epidemiology, maternal and child health, and child abuse prevention. As a part of an ongoing research collaboration with Stockholm University, Wakana will be visiting the Department of Public Health Sciences at SU in spring 2026.
