Research and theoretical and analytical perspectives in Public Health Sciences

This course provides students with knowledge in the Public Health Sciences with a social science perspective. The course includes concepts, theoretical approaches, analytical methods, and links to current research. The course covers four interconnected knowledge areas within Public Health Sciences related to: a) the level and distribution of health and ill-health; b) health determinants; c) the impact of politics and policy measures on health; and d) public health practice, including prevention, intervention, and health promotion.
