Social inequalities in health
This course gives you knowledge about central theoretical and empirical aspects of social inequalities in health. The course includes an overview of how health is distributed across different groups, based on their social position in society (with regard to e.g., occupational class, education, income, foreign background, and sex/gender). The student will also become familiar with, and discuss various, theoretical and analytical concepts and models used to explain social inequalities in health.

This course is offered in collaboration with Master’s programme in public health sciences. Teaching occasions are to be attended jointly with master students.
