Have you been admitted to a course or programme at the Department of Public Health Sciences? Here you will find some useful links and information about things that are good to know for new students at Stockholm University.

Information for admitted students at the Master's programme in public health sciences 2026

You do not need to actively accept your place but if you intend to NOT join the programme, it is important that you renounce your place via University Admissions.  


To keep your place you need to register between August 10 and August 24.
Internatnional student without a Swedish personal number need to arrive in time in Stockholm to be able to visit Stockholm University in person no later than August 24 (office hours).

More detailed information will be sent out in our Welcome letter to admitted students.

Information for applicants on the waitinglist for the Master's programme in public health sciences 2026

If required, a last-minute round of admissions from the waiting list will take place in late August starting on the 24th of August. Opportunities for admission depend on your selection group, as follows:

INT-A
No further applicants from this group will be admitted, since visas and other practical arrangements would not be in place in time for programme commencement.

INT-B
If vacancies exist after the registration period closes in mid-to late August, reserves will be contacted. Please ensure that your contact information at University Admissions is up to date. You will be given a timeframe within which you are expected to accept or refuse any offer made, so monitoring your e-mail in particular is vital!
