Congratulations, Jenny!

Many congratulations to Jenny Fred on the successful defence of her PhD thesis on 5 June. Her research explores how algebra teaching for young learners can be connected to complex societal issues in ways that foster both mathematical thinking and a deeper understanding of the world around them. Among other findings, the study shows that young students are more capable of reasoning about patterns, relationships, and future consequences than is often assumed.
