Welcome to the Arabic Poetry Club at Språkstudion

At the Poetry Club, we will be translating the poetry collection Diwan Afif al-Din al-Tilimsani from Arabic to English, on four occasions during this spring.

The work we are translating is written by the poet and mystic alTilimsani, active in medieval Andalusia and North Africa. This period is often regarded as a golden age of the mystical tradition within Islam known as Sufism. Intermediate level of proficiency in Standard Arabic is recommended. 

We provide coffee and tea.

To participate you need to be registered for Språkstudion’s Language Cafes. Please register through this link. A few minutes before the activity starts, you need to check in at Språkstudion’s front desk. This is a drop-in activity, but with a limited number of places, distributed on a first come, first served basis.
