How to apply - Master's programmes

General Eligibility requirements

Applicants admitted to our master’s programmes are required to hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.

General English Language requirement

Students with an overseas degree need to show proof of English language skills. This is normally attested by means of an internationally recognized test, such as a TOEFL test (575 p paper based, 90 p internet based), or IELTS (6.5 overall and no part under 5.5).

Swedish and Nordic students need to show proficiency in English equivalent to Engelska 6/B. Some students may be exempt from submitting formal English test evidence. Exemptions are listed on the webpage universityadmissions.se

Specific requirements

In addition to general requirements, you must also meet the specific requirements of the particular programme, such as credits in specific subject. These requirements can be found in the program syllabus or the program webpage.

Eligible with a condition

We have a lot of applicants that are studying their final bachelor program year. This should not be an obstacle to apply, nor be admitted, to our masters programmes. You can still be admitted (with a condition) without the degree. If you are admitted you must be able to show us your eligibility by a degree certificate or a verification that you have applied for your certificate, before the program starts, often last of August.

1. Documentation to confirm that you comply with the basic eligibility requirements for studies at advanced level, which means that you hold a bachelor´s degree and English level B.
2. Documentation to confirm that you comply with the special eligibility requirements of the programme that you apply for.
3. Your score report for GMAT or GRE. This will serve as a notification to us to search for your result in the data-base. Without a copy of your score report your GMAT/GRE result will not be considered.
4. Make sure your test centre submits your test result directly to Stockholm Business School.
5. Students who are not citizens of an EU/EEA country or Switzerland may have to pay an application fee and a tuition fee. Please visit www.universityadmissions.se for information about fees. Please submit a certified copy of your passport to prove that you do not have to pay tuition fees.

There are two important steps to remember when submitting your test score.

1. You should download a copy of your test result on universityadmissions.se 
2. You should also make sure that your test center submit your verified score report directly to us (Stockholm Business School). This is required to make your verified result accessible for SBS in the GMAT/GRE data-base.

If you apply for more than one of the programmes you only need to submit your test result to one programme.

The GMAT or GRE result must not be older than 5 years on the last date for application. We only look at GMAT Total Score. GRE scores are converted into GMAT scores.
