Retail Operations Doctoral Dissertation Prize for Christoph Baldauf
The 2024 annual meeting of the European Working Group on Retail Operations was held at the WU Vienna University of Economics and Business.
During the conference The Doctoral Dissertation Award was awarded to Christoph Baldauf (now: Center for Retailing, Stockholm School of Economics) for his thesis on the relevance of logistics in online and omnichannel retail. The thesis was successfully defended at Stockholm Business School in February 2023.

The award was handed out at the closing ceremony of the conference on September 20 and the jury consisted of Sandra Transchel (Kühne Logistics University ), Laura Wagner (IESE Business School), and Robert Rooderkerk (Rotterdam School of Management). Christoph Baldauf shared the prize with Rafael Escamilla from Arizona State University.
Christoph Baldauf was also awarded the best plenary presentation award for his presentation "The Impact of Buy Now, Pay Later on Customer Sales and Returns in Online Retail".
