Stockholm Teaching & Learning Studies

STLS has been developed to initiate, support, and disseminate teacher-led research and development projects. STLS is carried out in close collaboration between Stockholm University, the Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences, and school authorities. STLS is also part of the ULF initiative.

The projects conducted within the collaboration address questions and challenges that arise in subject teaching in the classroom or within preschool activities. A cornerstone of STLS since its founding has been that research should be based on identified challenges in teaching, with the aim of developing instruction. The research is therefore characterized by being conducted with and for teachers, rather than on teachers.
