With increasing population, energy and environmental concerns, the world is calling for sustainability development. Biomass provides sustainability priorities thanks to their renewable sources such as trees and biodegradability. Extensive efforts are being devoted to biomass-based materials design and bioenergy, offering significant possibilities in many conventional and advanced applications, contributing to the reduction of our reliance on fossil-based materials and fuels.
