Hybrid Workshop: Next generation advanced fossil-free materials

Audrey Moores’ research focuses on sustainable solutions for nanomaterials and biopolymer synthesis as well as catalyzed reactions, with an interest in waste biomass valorization, earth abundant starting materials and high atom economy. Her group has made significant contributions to mechanochemical and solid-state reactions for the design of nanomaterials and biopolymers.

Prof. Moores will be a guest professor at Stockholm University (SU) 2025-2029, hosted by Prof Berit Olofsson, Deputy Director, SUCCeSS and professor of organic chemistry at SU. Prof. Moores’ expertise works synergistically with the Circular and Sustainable processing research at SUCCeSS, and with the growing mechanochemistry activities at SU, facilitated by the Circulab @WISE infrastructure platform.

During the workshop we will discuss how the WISE Guest professor appointment will enrich SU's strategic collaboration with Luleå University of Technology (LTU) and Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) on the next generation fossil-free advanced materials based on sustainable biomass and CO2.
