Despite growing awareness of sustainability challenges, many firms continue to face significant barriers when attempting to adopt circularity within their core operations. Circular business models offer an opportunity not only to reduce environmental impacts – such as waste generation and resource depletion – but also to stimulate economic value creation through increased efficiency, innovation, and enhanced competitiveness.
Drawing on principles from Design for Six Sigma, Dr. Sohrabpour introduces the concept that “the best packaging is no packaging,” illustrating how rethinking material use can simultaneously reduce waste and maintain product integrity.
Complementing this technological and operational perspective, Cecilia Fryklöf, Head of Climate and Nature at Nordea, will provide the investor viewpoint. She will discuss the financial stakeholders’ perspective.
Together, these perspectives highlight how circular business models can serve as viable pathways toward environmental stewardship and economic growth.
Vahid Sohrabpour, Ph.D. will discuss how to promote sustainability in the food supply chain by innovative solutions. Inspired by Design for Six Sigma, Vahid’s idea is “the best Packaging is No Packaging"
“Investments in Circular Business models.”
