Create a library account
Stockholm University Library is open to both students and staff at Stockholm University as well as to the general public. To borrow materials, you need to create a library account.
Library account for staff and students at SU
Students and staff at Stockholm University can create a library account by logging in to My Library Account on the library website using their university login details. The first time you log in, you will be asked to accept the library terms and create a PIN.
Library account for external users
To create a library account as an external user at Stockholm University Library, you must be over 18 years of age, and be able to present a Swedish photo ID, or proof of enrollment at another Swedish university. After submitting your application, you can activate your account by visiting the library information desk and presenting your identification.
Library account for guests
If you do not have a valid Swedish ID and are not enrolled at a university or college in Sweden, you can apply for a guest account. With a guest account, you are free to use the library’s services, limited to the library building. You may not borrow books or other materials to take outside the library.
