The University Library is open all summer. You're welcome to study, read, or listen to a podcast in a calm and inspiring environment.

Whether you're planning to catch up on course reading, prepare for the autumn semester, or simply explore a new subject, Stockholm University Library is here for you this summer.
While our opening hours and on-site services are somewhat reduced during the summer months (see information box below), many resources and study spaces remain available.
Open on weekdays throughout the summer
On the entrance floor, you’ll find workspaces for individual study as well as small groups. If you are looking for a quiet environment, we recommend the Bergdahl Room or the upper, which is designated silent zones.
Take the opportunity to explore the art displayed throughout the library. You can read more about our art and architecture here:
New to the University?
If you're curious about university life beyond textbooks or want to practice your Swedish through audio, don’t miss our podcast Bakom bokhyllan (“Behind the Bookshelf”). A few episodes are in English, but most in Swedish. With around 40 episodes, it offers insights into student life and the academic world. You’ll find the podcast on major podcast platforms or via the library’s website.
Make the library your place for peaceful summer studies — welcome!
