About the subject

Stockholm University offers a full range of educational possibilities in law and is ranked among the top 100 law schools in the world. Founded in 1893, Stockholm University’s Department of Law maintains the tradition of high-quality legal education with a focus on putting theory into practice and taking full advantage of the expertise found in an innovative, dynamic capital city.

We offer three LLM programmes in English. These internationally focused master’s programmes are some of the most highly regarded and highly competitive programmes at the university and have a strong, international reputation.

With a portfolio of over 100 partner universities all over the world, our exchange programme also welcomes about 200 students each year, all studying fulltime in English. Doctoral studies can also be completed in English.

Providing that they have the required level of fluency in Swedish, foreign students interested in obtaining a Swedish law degree (Juristexamen) can apply to join our Swedish Law Programme.
