Arrival Service

The Arrival Service is the first event of the Welcome activities that we arrange in order to make international students feel welcome at Stockholm University. It takes place on 22-23 August, 2020.

The Arrival Service consists of three parts:

  • The Welcome teams at Arlanda Airport, which will answer any questions you might have when arriving to Sweden.
  • The free of charge shuttle bus service to Stockholm University’s main campus, Frescati.
  • The key pick-up service - At Campus Frescati, the Housing Office will hand out keys to students who has received accommodation via the Housing Office.

Stockholm University continues to follow the Public Health Agency of Sweden's COVID-19 recommendations. These measures include staying at home if you have symptoms, keeping a distance and maintaining good hand hygiene.

Arrival shuttle bus to campus 10 am to 6 pm

Every full hour between 10 am to 6 pm, there will be a bus leaving from Terminal 5 at Arlanda Airport bound for the main campus, Frescati, at Stockholm University. This service is offered both on the 22nd and 23rd of August.

The SU Welcome Teams at Terminal 5 will assign students a seat on the buses on a first come first serve basis. Please inform the Welcome Teams as soon as you arrive of your wish to get a seat on the bus and they will assist you.

If you arrive at another terminal, please take the free express train 'Arlanda Express' to get to Terminal 5. Make sure to get off the train at Terminal 5 or it will take you all the way to the city centre and you will be charged around 35 euro!

Please keep a safe distance from your fellow students and follow the advice and directives of the student guides in order to minimize spread of infection.

Key pick-up 9 am to 8 pm

New students who will rent an accommodation from the Housing Office at Stockholm University during the autumn semester 2020 will be able to pick up the key to their room from August 22 and onwards. Please see the link below for further information.

Infocenter 12 pm – 6 pm

Infocenter is an information hub for students and visitors at the main campus, Frescati. For international students it can be especially helpful during their first arrival days or weeks, for guidance concerning activation of university account, finding their way on campus etc. You can ask our Infocenter staff about anything concerning your studies, such as admissions, degrees and student support.

During the Arrival Service, Infocenter will be available and the staff will be ready to answer your questions. They will also be able to generate a one time-code with which you can activate your university account. Activation of your university account is essential, but you are not required to do it during the Arrival Service. Furthermore, most students may already have received a one time-code from their department.

Do it yourself
