Welcome Activities
Stockholm University organises a series of welcome activities at the beginning of each semester. The activities are designed to assist you as a new student and introduce you to university life in Stockholm and Sweden. Attendance to these events is optional, but we highly recommend attending in order for you to familiarize yourself with the campus and the support available for students, as well as to make friends!
Join our welcome activities for the spring semester 2025!

Free training with SSIF & Frescati Sports Center
Join SSIF (Stockholm Students' Sports Club) and Frescati Sports Center on Friday, January 24th, for an exciting day of free training opportunities!
From 11:00 to 14:00, you can drop in and enjoy a variety of activities, including table tennis and group fitness classes - completely free of charge. Spaces are limited, so it’s first come, first served!
Share your language(s)! Volunteer as a Language Cafe coordinator!
Would you like to help others practise your language(s) over a cup of coffee, and get to know other students at SU and abroad?
Every week, Språkstudion organises Language Cafe sessions where participants get the opportunity to practise languages in an informal setting. As a coordinator, you lead conversations in your language(s) and thereby support the learners at the cafes. Språkstudion invites all students interested in volunteering as Language Cafe coordinators during the spring term of 2025 to an information meeting.
Time and place: Friday, January 24th, 2 p.m.–3.30 p.m. C307 (Campus Frescati, Södra huset, house C, floor 3) and on Zoom.
