MFS application writing workshop – part 1

Thursday 1 October 2020 10.00 – 12.00

Online via Zoom

An interactive workshop for students who are planning to apply for Sida’s Minor Field Studies (MFS) scholarship programme. This is an opportunity to receive tips and advice on the different parts of the application. You can also receive peer feedback on a draft of your application.

Join our online workshop!

Students who are planning to apply for the Minor Field Studies (MFS) scholarship are encouraged to attend this workshop. The workshop has two parts:

  1. Application and attachments. Together we will go through the MFS application portal and the attachments you need to submit, with a focus on the project description. There will be time for you to ask questions.
  2. Application peer review session. A writing consultant from the Academic Writing Service will guide a peer review session where we review drafts of each other’s project descriptions. For this part of the workshop, you should be prepared to share a draft of part or all of your project with the other workshop participants. The aim of this session is to get feedback early in the writing process, so it is fine (and even good!) to share a rough or incomplete draft of your work.

This workshop is complemented by a second MFS workshop scheduled for Monday 12 Oct 2020 at 12-13. (Link to the second workshop)
