Middle Eastern Studies: Textual Sources - Area Studies

This course provides in-depth training in reading and analyzing advanced Arabic non-fiction text in translation.

Within the course students will read and analyze different types of translated Arabic non-fiction text, by focusing on the genres, contexts and authors of the chosen texts. The course will also deal with relevant theories and methods.

The course consists of one module 7.5 credits.


Teaching Format

Instruction is given in the form of lectures and seminars. The language of instruction is English.

Assessment

The course is examined on the basis of a written assignment. The language of examination is English.
