The following information is for students admitted to a course at the Department of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at Stockholm University, spring semester 2026. We are happy that you want to study with us!

Email to admitted students

If you have been admitted to a course or programme at our department you will recieve an email with information about your studies with us during the next semester.

Registration

When you have a university account, you must register online in Ladok. When you register you claim your place in the course and have the right to participate in lectures and examinations.
Ladok for students

The web registration is open from 7 January until the day your course starts (for courses that starts in the first period of the semester).

In the email from the department you will find information about the registration period for your course. It is important that you registrer before the last date that is listed in the email.

If you are conditionally admitted, you must be able to show that you are eligible for admission no later than course start to claim your place in the course.

Learning platform

Once you register, you get access to the course page on Athena, where you can find important information and course materials.

In Athena you can:

  • See course plans and reading instructions
  • Receive messages from teachers and the department
  • Submit your exams and assignments
  • Find schedules
  • Find uploaded articles and course materials

In TimeEdit you can find your schedule by searching for course name or course code. You can subscribe to your schedule to get it directly in your mobile calendar.
