In order to ensure that your studies begin as smoothly as possible we have compiled a short checklist for the beginning of the semester.
Follow the instructions on whether you have to reply to your offer or not.

Here you can find information about starting your studies at the Department of Mathematics and what you need to do.
To keep your place on the course you need to:
- Reply to your offer via Universityadmissions.se by 20 July.
- Meet the conditions, if you are conditionally admitted
- Register for your course in Ladok. Registration opens in early August, and you can see in Ladok when it closes. Please note that a few courses given via KTH close for registration earlier than the rest, on 17 August. This applies to the following courses:
- BE7009 Advanced Numerical Methods
- DA8001 Program Construction in C++ for Physicists
- MM7031 Enumerative combinatorics
- MM7046 Advanced Real Analysis I
Activate your university account
If you don’t already have a student account at Stockholm university, you can activate your account from early August. You need this account to access the course pages, and it can also be used to log in to Ladok (student.ladok.se), the system where you register for courses, sign up for exams, et cetera.

Our course pages can be found at kurser.math.su.se.
In the autumn 2026, a few courses will instead use Canvas. If you are admitted to one of these courses we will send you information before the course begins.
On most of the course pages you can "self enrol", but doing this does not mean that you are registered for the course! It only gives you access to the course page. You always have to register in Ladok separately, see above about registration.

Welcome activities
The Student Office organises activities aimed at all students at SU, regardless of programme or course, focusing on general information and social events.
Each department has its own introductions for their students, with a greater focus on matters related to their specific programme or course. Information relevant to your department can be found above.
Find your way on campus
Stockholm University's main campus is in the Frescati area, north of the city centre. While most of our departments and offices are located here, there are also campus areas in other parts of the city.
