Reply to your offer?
Whether you need to reply to your offer to keep your place on the programme depends on which admissions round you are admitted in.
- If you are admitted to one of our master's programmes in the first admissions round (March), you don't need to reply to your offer to keep your place. If you don't want to keep your place on the programme, please decline it via Universityadmissions.se.
- If you are admitted to one of our programmes in the second admissions round (July), you must reply to you offer via Universityadmissions.se by 20 July to keep your place on the programme.
(Please note: Admission to the Master's programme in Biostatistics and Data Science is via KTH, so if you have been offered a place on that programme you should ignore information on this page and instead follow instructions from KTH regarding admission.)
Conditionally admitted
If you don't quite meet the eligibility requirements for the programme (or didn't when your application was processed) but it looked like you would by the start of the programme, you might be conditionally admitted. This can be because you are missing specific courses, or (for master's programmes) because you have not yet completed your bachelor's degree. To begin the programme, you need to fulfil these conditions by the start of the programme and (unless these results are reported in Ladok at a Swedish university) submit documentation showing that you have done so. You send or upload the documentation to Universityadmissions.se, like you did with other documents needed for your application.
You can also be conditionally admitted because you need to pay tuition fees. However, please note that we strongly advise students who need a residence permit in order to study in Sweden (usually the same students as need to pay tuition fees) NOT to apply in the second admissions round, since you won't have time to apply for and receive a residence permit before the programme starts.
Placed on reserve list
If you have a reserve place for a programme, we may be able to offer you a spot in which case we will contact you. If you have a conditional reserve place and are offered a place on the programme, you also need to fulfil the condition(s) before you can take your place on the programme.
Choosing courses and starting the programme
Our master's programmes may have an introductory meeting at or shortly before the start of the autumn semester. More information about this is sent out to admitted students. To be registered for the programme you may need to attend such a meeting, or register online for courses in the programme.
In particular, the Master's programme in Mathematics has a mandatory roll-call on 19 August, details will be sent to those admitted to the programme.
On our master's programmes, there may be elective courses even in the first semester. If so, you choose courses via the programme director, usually in connection to the introductory meeting.
In the programme overview below, you can find links to the mandatory courses where you can find information about schedules, course literature and more.
Activate your university account
If you don’t already have a student account at Stockholm university, you can activate your account from early August. You need this account to access the course pages, and it can also be used to log in to Ladok (student.ladok.se), the system where you register for courses, sign up for exams, et cetera.
