Welcome to studies at the Department of Public Health Sciences
Are you studying at the Department of Public Health Sciences this autumn? A warm welcome to you. We hope you will enjoy your studies with us.
Kick-off August 31
There will be a programme kick-off in August 31 at 1-3 pm where the department will present important information and the students will have the opportunity to meet. The Kick-off will be held in lecture room 31, Albano House 4, 2nd floor.
Activate your university account
To get access to the university's IT services such as the learning platform Canvas, you need to activate your university account. Click on this link: Link to activation of university account
If you already have a university account at Stockholm University please go to nextstep.
If you are an international student without a Swedish personal number you need to visit Infocenter in Studenthuset at Campus Frescati in person to activate your university account. Please bring a valid photo ID or passport! (Accepted documents as proof of identity are the same as for hall exams)

Registrer for your courses in Ladok
To keep your place at the programme you need to register via the student documentation system "Ladok for students". Online registration will be open August 10-24.
Log in to the learning platform Canvas
Starting from Autumn 2026 Stockholm University will use the learning platform Canvas for communication, teaching and examination. After registration in Ladok it's important tha you log in to Canvas to get access to course information and course materials. Courses will be visible in Canvas for registered students as soon as the teacher has published the course room and no later than 2 weeks before the course starts. Please note that there might sometimes be a short delay up to 24 hours after having registered in Ladok before you are able to log into Canvas.

Welcome activities
