Welcome to the Department of Psychology!
Below you will find important information for our newly admitted students. More specific information about your course will be sent in a separate welcome e-mail, please look out for it in your inbox. The e-mail will be sent to the address you provided on www.universityadmissions.se / www.antagning.se. Please ensure that your e-mail address is up to date and correct.
Course registration
Before the semester starts you need to register on all the courses you plan to take. You will find the exact dates for this in your welcome e-mail. Please note that if you fail to register in time, you will lose your spot on the course.
You register on the courses in Ladok.
To be able to login to Ladok you need to activate your University account, see the general information on this page.
Learning platform
We use the learning platform Athena for course materials, communication with teachers and fellow students, and submissions of assignments. You will gain access to the course site in Athena when you have registered for the course.
Groups
Some courses have group divisions for seminars. Usually you will be able to choose which group you would like to attend. Information about this will be included in the welcome e-mail for your course or published in Athena at the start of the course.
Schedule
You will find your course schedule in Athena but before that you can also find it in TimeEdit:
- Go to: schema.su.se/?lang=en
- Enter the course code or course name in the search field.
- Choose your course in the list and click on Show schedule for ..., to see the current schedule.

Welcome activities
The Student Office organises activities aimed at all students at SU, regardless of programme or course, focusing on general information and social events.
Each department has its own introductions for their students, with a greater focus on matters related to their specific programme or course. Information relevant to your department can be found above.
Find your way on campus
Stockholm University's main campus is in the Frescati area, north of the city centre. While most of our departments and offices are located here, there are also campus areas in other parts of the city.
