Children's and young people's experiences of culture

There is a lot of culture produced for children and young people, but what do we really know about how they experience the culture they are exposed to? Does it matter whether a play is experienced at school or in their free time? How do children's and young people's interpretations relate to the interpretations and intentions of the adult world? You will study this and much more in this course.
