Master´s programme in Children´s Culture

The overall goal of the program is to offer an interdisciplinary education in children's culture with a clear anchoring in the surrounding society. The program is unique and the only education in Sweden that leads to a master's degree in the subject of children's culture!

During the training, current research fields, theoretical approaches and in-depth methodological approaches relevant to the subject area of ​​children's culture are presented and discussed, with the aim of providing expanded and in-depth knowledge of a self-chosen research area and developing the ability to apply scientific methodology through an independent work of 15 credits. In addition, the training provides the opportunity for an internship equivalent to 15 credits. The internship can be placed in activities within the field of children's culture, such as authorities or cultural institutions such as libraries, theaters, museums, etc.

Previous students have interned at, among others, Junibacken, Unga Klara and the Swedish Arts Council.

The majority of the training takes place in a small study group with close contact with your supervisors and teachers. You will meet students who are in different phases of their education, which creates good conditions for interesting exchange with other students and networking.

The program leads to a Master of Philosophy degree in Children's Culture.
