The Climate and The Economy

You will learn how to use economic tools to analyze environmental issues and, in particular, climate change: its causes and effects and the role for economic policy in influencing our future. The course is part of the Master’s programme in Economics. It is also available for application as a stand-alone course.

The focus will be on the economic methods in theory and practice and also cover basic aspects of the natural sciences involved.

This is a 7.5 credit course.

Course material will be available on the learning platform Athena.


Teaching Format

Instruction is given in the form of lectures. The language of instruction is English.


Assessment

The course is examined on the basis of written examinations.

Examiner

The schedule will be available no later than one month before the start of the course. We do not recommend print-outs as changes can occur. At the start of the course, your department will advise where you can find your schedule during the course.


Note that the course literature can be changed up to two months before the start of the course.
