Quantitative macroeconomics

You will be taught the basic models in dynamic macroeconomics, with a special focus on the overlapping generations model, and the neoclassical growth model. The course is part of the Master’s programme in Economics.

The emphasis is on solving and characterising the models. Important components are quantitative methods, and computer programming.

This is a 7.5 credit course.

Course material will be available on the learning platform Athena.


Teaching Format

Instruction is given in the form of lectures. English is the language of instruction.


Assessment

The course is examined on the basis of written assignments a written exam.

Examiner

The schedule will be available no later than one month before the start of the course. We do not recommend print-outs as changes can occur. At the start of the course, your department will advise where you can find your schedule during the course.


Note that the course literature can be changed up to two months before the start of the course.
