Econometrics 4a: Empirical Research Design

This course aims to provide you with the skills to write an empirical research paper. The course is part of the Master’s programme in Economics.

The focus is on reading research articles, as well as discussing and criticising them on the basis of econometric theory. Another key issue in the course is what characterises a relevant empirical research question in Economics.

This is a 7.5 credit course.

Teaching Format

Instruction is given in the form of lectures. The language of instruction is English.


Assessment

The course is examined on the basis of a written exam and assignments.

Examiner

The schedule will be available no later than one month before the start of the course. We do not recommend print-outs as changes can occur. At the start of the course, your department will advise where you can find your schedule during the course.
