Physics of Diagnostic Radiology
In the course different experts will provide lectures and seminars about different types of diagnostic investigations such as tomography, mammography and dental X-ray. Legal and practical aspects of the role of the medical radiation physicists within diagnostic radiology are covered in the course.
This is an advanced full-time course given during the daytime. The course is included in the Master`s Programme in Medical Physics.
Modules
The course consists of the following parts:
- Theory, 6 credits
- Supervised vocational training practice, 3 credits
- Clinical laboratory work, 1.5 credits
Teaching Format
The course consists of lectures, seminars, clinical laboratory work and supervised vocational training practice.
Assessment
The theory part of the course is assessed through a written home exam as well as an oral exam. The supervised vocational training practice is assessed through individual performative examination documented in a VFU-report. The clinical laboratory work is assessed by written and oral laboratory reports.
