French, Culture and Identity

This course is for you who wish to deepen your knowledge of French culture while simultaneously developing your language skills. By analyzing key concepts such as culture, nation, and identity, you will gain a broader understanding of both historical and contemporary cultural phenomena.

This course provides an introduction to a scientific approach to culture. Concepts such as culture, nation and identity are scrutinized. Different kind of cultural phenomenon in the French-speaking world are analyzed, both from a historical and a contemporary view.
