Strategies, Benefit and Alignment

The course covers the role of IT projects in companies and organisations, and how they connect to IT strategy and the overall strategic work of an organisation.

You will get to know common models for strategic work, as well as methods for selecting and prioritising projects. The course also covers programme and portfolio management, including the project management office (PMO), and how to set up and manage a project to achieve its intended effects and realise true benefits. Throughout the course, topics are discussed and analysed from both a traditional project management perspective and an agile way of working.

The teaching consists of lectures and mandatory online workshops. The language of instruction is English. The course is delivered entirely remotely and all teaching activities are conducted online.
