This course contains the thesis for the Master's Programme in Asian Studies.

The course gives the student in-depth knowledge of writing a scientific thesis and develops the ability to independently and critically conduct a scientific study. The specialisation of the thesis is decided by the course coordinator after consultation with the student, supervisor and examiner.


Teaching Format

Teaching consists of lectures and seminars, as well as individual supervision.


Assessment

The course is examined through a written thesis in English, a presentation of the written thesis, and an opposition on another student's thesis. For more detailed information, please refer to the course description and the Master's Thesis Protocol.

The schedule will be available no later than one month before the start of the course. We do not recommend print-outs as changes can occur. At the start of the course, your department will advise where you can find your schedule during the course.


Note that the course literature can be changed up to two months before the start of the course.

Literature for the thesis is chosen in consultation with the supervisor.
