Project on Assignment in Geography

The course consists of an independent project on assignment.The project is carried out in close collaboration with an external organisation, for example a municipality or another organization within the public sector, a company or a non-profit association.

The course is offered only to students in the Master's Programme in Globalization, Environment and Social Change, 120 HECs.

It requires at least 30 HECs from the Master’s Programme in Globalization, Environment and Social Change.

In cooperation with the industry the student will collect, process and analyse data based on relevant issues and report his/her findings in writing and orally.

The language of instruction is English or Swedish.


Teaching Format

There are no teaching but consists of an independent project on assignment.

Detailed information, including grading criteria, is provided at the course introduction and via the learning platform Athena.

Learning objectives

The overall learning objective is for the student, in cooperation with an external organization, to apply his/her knowledge of methods and theory and be able to reflect on the usefulness of the result. A further aim is to make the student employable.

Assessment

Examination is done by written and oral presentation of work.  

Examiner

The schedule will be available no later than one month before the start of the course. We do not recommend print-outs as changes can occur. At the start of the course, your department will advise where you can find your schedule during the course.


Note that the course literature can be changed up to two months before the start of the course.
