Programming for Data Science

You will learn the languages Python and R from the start as tools for data retrieval, data cleaning, data exploration, data visualization and predictive modelling.

Note that you must have at least the grade C on this course to be able to select the data science track.



Teaching Format

This is an online distance course. 

The teaching consists of:

  • pre-recorded lectures
  • pre-recorded teaching sessions
  • supervision


Assessment

The course is examined as follows: 

  • take-home examination
  • written assignments

The schedule will be available no later than one month before the start of the course. We do not recommend print-outs as changes can occur. At the start of the course, your department will advise where you can find your schedule during the course.
Note that the course literature can be changed up to two months before the start of the course.
