Mathematics III - Complex Analysis
In this course you will learn, besides the basics of complex analysis, to explain and use methods in complex analysis to solve mathematical and applied problems, and to account for and prove the fundamental theorems on analytic functions.
Like many of our courses in the Matematics III category, this course is sometimes given as a distance course and sometimes given on campus.
Course contents: The course treats analytic functions, integration and series expansion of analytic functions, residue calculus, conformal mappings, harmonic functions, applications in physics.
The course consists of one element, assessed with a written examination.
Teaching Format
Instruction is given in the form of lectures and exercise sessions. There is also some video material available on the course web.
Assessment
The course is assessed through written examination, with grades between A-F where A-E are passing grades.
