Statistical Consulting Methodology

An overview of practically useful statistical methods, and hands-on training in problem formulation, problem solving, communication and report writing within real statistical consulting.

The course only has a few places and is normally only avaliable for application within certain programmes, not as a separate course. Note that even if you are a programme student and can apply, you are not guaranteed a place on this course.

Course contents: Overview of important statistical methods for practical statistical work: methods for statistical planning, explorative data analysis, statistical modelling and statistical inference. Training in problem formulation, problem solving and report writing in statistical consultancy.

The course consists of one module.


Teaching Format

Instruction consists of seminars and project work. Participation in the seminars and project work is compulsory.


Assessment

The course is assessed through written and oral presentation of project work.

The schedule will be available no later than one month before the start of the course. We do not recommend print-outs as changes can occur. At the start of the course, your department will advise where you can find your schedule during the course.
