Bachelor's Programme in Biology - Study course biology
Biologists have expert knowledge of the web of life, both at the cellular and ecosystems level. Knowledge that is increasingly in demand when developments indicate that ecologically sustainable systems are also economically profitable. Another exciting development is taking place at the interface between man and machine.
The biology courses provide theoretical and practical knowledge in all areas of biology. Most courses alternate theory with practical exercises in the form of laboratory work and fieldwork. During excursions and field courses, you get to study animals and plants in natural environments and practice ecological field work. Stockholm University has access to three field stations in interesting nature areas: Tovetorp in Sörmland, Askö in the Trosa archipelago and Tjärnö on the west coast.
