Social inequalities in health
The course includes an overview of how health is distributed across different group based on the social position in society (with regard to e.g. occupational class, education, income, foreign background, and sex/gender). The student will become familiar with and discuss various models that explains the associations between social stratification, life chances, and health. The course focuses on concurrent research and aims to give a basic understanding of the research front.

Assessment
The course is examined through a knowledge test, an oral presentation of a group assignment and an invigilated on-campus exam.
